Sunny's Favorite
I have added additional recipes to the Juice Recipe (click the juice recipe tab above), but the Salad In a Glass juice has become a favorite of mine, so I am posting it on the main page as well. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Salad In a Glass
1 Tomato
1/2 Head Leaf Lettuce
2 Celery Stalks
1 Carrot - (use more if you like, I do)
1/2 Red Bell Pepper (I use the entire pepper)
Pineapple and Watermellon Juice
Made some pineapple and watermelon juice and one word describes it - yummy! It was so good, I had to take a picture of it.

ok here's a current post, re: the juicer stop the press she is now queen of the year per her condominium for "her" 9-1-1 flag !? there's also additional plagiarism re 'the rack' but hey imitation is the highest form of flattery. uh Right? on the actual juice front "we're" still a student of proper food combination, though the fall guy has NOT experienced any sort of stomach "challenge". Seedless red grapes (reservatol) and fresh pineapple scrump tilicious good, also try carrot/pineapple . and hey don't get lazy, juice and clean that machine !
Do you Want Killer Abs?
While crunches are good beginner's exercise for strengthening the stomach, they can become easy once your body has grown accustomed to them, or they can become just plain old boring.
If you want killer abs, you should try the below Plank variations:
1. Front Planks: Get in a push-up position, drop onto your forearms and elbows and hold that position for as long as possible. You can also try tapping your feet up and down.
One more thing, I juiced a Pineapple and a whole lot of grapes yesterday, delicious! All I did was peel and juice one pineapple. Then I juiced some grapes, mixed them together and enjoyed. Try it and let me know what you think.
BTW, let me know what you think about the planks as well.

The Rack is Tough, Versatile and Portable
It is the only piece of equipment that take Old School moves (y'all know about that) like push-ups, crunches, and dips to the next level. All by using your own body weight as primary resistance.
I actually enjoy using it - use it primarily to perform dips, push-ups and work abs (ouch). You can also add weights and use it to work your biceps, shoulders and back.

I'm Back!
I am back from Miami, went down to visit The Fall Guy's cousins. Beautiful people, and we had a great time. I didn't juice but I did get Juiced! I thought about doing a weight check, but I think I'll wait a week...or two.

Turns out the juicer order didn't go through.........so I really ordered my juicer yesterday. Dang, life with a computer can be so complicated. Hopefully I'll have more luck juicing than ordering!!!

alright already here's a NEW damn POST. the juice blogger broke down today and 'gasp' ate solid food!, once I got off the floor, I, the fall guy, was agasted, shocked and quite appalled. like the terminator, she'll be back......tomorrow. Lady T and The Fall Guy are Juicing
Lady T started juicing today and The Fall Guy actually juiced some grapes and veggies yesterday. I knew it wouldn't take long for The Fall Guy to jump on board - nice to have you.
Remember, if the juice is refrigerated immediately it should be good for 24 hours. After 24 hours it has probably lost the majority of the vitamin potency.

2 Weeks and I Need a Hot Meal
Okay, it has been two weeks and I need a hot meal. Don't misunderstand, I am still juicing, but I need to chew on something and it needs to be hot or at least warm. So I have to admit that I broke down and had a cup of soup - that did the trick.

Juicing Tips
A few tips to make your juicing quick and enjoyable!
- Buy local and organic fruits and vegetables whenever possible so you’re getting the freshest and most nutritious produce available to you and your family and remember to always rinse everything you juice before juicing.
- You will get the best juice from firm, ripe fruits and vegetables. If it is over ripe or too soft you will extract more pulp than juice.
- Avoid juicing bananas and avocados, they are soft and will clog your juicer screen.
- When juicing melons, don’t remove the interior white rind or peel because much of the nutritional value is in this section of the fruit.
- With citrus fruits (oranges, grapefruit and tangerines) remove the rind, but keep as much of the white pith as possible because it’s full of nutrients. You can juice lemons and limes whole without peeling.
- Always take proper care of your Native Juicer. Rinse quickly after use, fruits and vegetables dry quickly and will become more difficult to clean.

Sexy D got some Commitment Issues :)
I’ve been trying to stay committed, and hate to say it. But I have to have a little meat; so I’ve been cheating a little. But I have been sticking to the natural fruit juice. I love fruit so it’s been very enjoyable and a good fiber intake.
Julicious Carrot Cake and Sorbet
The juicing is going well. The headaches have diminished and my energy is starting to rebound. My weight is still 133.5, so it is time for another 30 mile bike ride.
The watermelon sorbet is delicious (enjoying some right now) and the pineapple sorbet is mouth watering!
All I did was freeze the watermelon pulp with a little honey mixed in - that's it. The pineapple pulp was originally sweet, so I didn't add anything to it - perfection.
Friday I made a Julicious Carrot Cake, and it was even more julicious on Saturday. Really this is one of the best carrot cakes I have tasted and it is very nutritious. Here is the recipe:
3 cups whole grain flour
1 TBSP baking soda
3.5 cups of Carrot pulp
1 cup Pineapple pulp
1 Cup Honey
2 TBSP Cinnamon (at first I thought it seemed like a lot of cinnamon)
1- TSP Nutmeg
6 - egg whites
1 - TBSP Vanilla
1 Cup Canola Oil
1.5 cups of crushed walnuts
Preheat over 350 F, Grease muffin pan or two cake pans (I baked a two layer cake), Mix pulp well and add all of the other ingredients. Mix in the nuts, pour in pan and bake for 45 minutes.
I just mixed everything together and baked for 48 minutes.

Okay, yesterday I decided to juice some watermellon - the best watermelon juice I have ever had, or maybe my taste buds are finally alive, again. Well after drinking the juice, I had to have a little of the watermelon - a sistha has got to eat!
BTY, the apple and cherry sorbet I made a few days ago was not edible - give it to a friend only if you are seeking revenge,
I have some watermelon sorbet in the freezer now, will let you know the results soon.
Yesterday was by far the most difficult - my stomach was growling around 11PM, had to jump up and drink some juice and have an egg white.
My current weight is 133.5 - hey every little bit counts.

Update August 1, 2011 - 134 pounds
Update:
I just returned from a 30 mile bike ride, jumped on the scale and delighted to find that my current weight is 134!!! I had a glass of juice this morning and some Gatorade and water on the bike ride.
I did have a slight headache this morning, but once I started moving, I didn’t think about it.
My stomach was growling a little last night, but I have to say that even after the bike ride I am not that hungry…just very relaxed.
This morning I juiced - apples and cherries, making a sorbet out of the pulp, will let you know if it is eatable. I also juiced some lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers - basically I juiced a salad, and that is what I am having for lunch along with one egg white.
Come on, will ONE of you please jump on board with me???

I desperately want to drop some pounds, but not by restricting myself to a

I watched the above movie on Friday and started juicing on Saturday. I am going to try this juice diet for 60 days, the only solid food I will have is egg whites. I am eating egg whites because the protein powers I have researched have far too many ingredients and I need to make sure I am getting some protein.
I am on day two and doing well, but I had to take a BC Power this morning, my head was pounding.
I would for u ladies to join me on this journey/adventure??? My starting weight is 141, goal is 125.
Today I juiced kale, peaches, grapes and a bag of salad mix. Oh and some broccoli. Today I have only had juice and one egg white. I also walked 7 miles on the treadmill, moderate walking program. Doing good so far.
I will report back later. If u decide to join me, we can start a blog.
U can make sorbet from the fruit pulp by freezing it, so simple and very nutritious and not to mention delicious on a hot day.
